“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” December is here: A time to spend time with family, a time to enjoy gifts and holiday meals… but most of all, a time to reflect on the goodness of our God. At Babyanne's Mansion, we have been blessed beyond measure as we again saw God’s faithfulness throughout this year. As we all get ready to enjoy this Christmas season, please allow us, the board of directors; to share what we are most thankful for this past year…
I praise God, for how He has once again shown His power through Babyanne's Mansion. At first I couldn’t imagine how we can be a part of this vision, we don't even know when and how to start. But by faith and by God's grace and the wisdom he has bestowed us with the dream has finally become a reality for us. Through the times, that we are being challenged God has always reminded me of His word to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on our own understanding and in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight". I praise God, because through Babyanne's Mansion my faith in God grew stronger and I learned to trust Him more.

What a privilege to be a servant of the Risen King, the King of all kings. Being a servant of the King through Babyanne's Mansion is a great privilege. A privilege to experience a magnificent miracle that unfolds day after day. From the very beginning of its conception, God led the group to find the right people from the Admin personnel to the Construction people that will help build a house for abandoned and neglected children. As the construction began, God provided the right amount of money for the construction expenditures, wisdom in handling money and all the decision that was made, good health for all the workers and even healing Elmer, the worker who was injured during construction. God provided protection from calamities and typhoons that could have destroy the infrastructure of the facility. Truly, God is with us. As the construction is about to end, God taught me to trust Him, to trust in His promises that He will never leave me nor forsake me. God taught me to be humble, without Him I can do nothing. Truly Lord, You alone deserve glory and praise. Praises to You our God and our King!

The year 2009 is a very special year for me – both in the organization and in my family. This is the year F.I.S.H.E.R.S. International Ministries celebrated its 4th year as a non-profit charitable organization in Canada! In a recent meeting with the Directors, we can’t help but look back at the time when we thought it was impossible to build this orphanage facility on our own…and right we were. We could not have built this! Everywhere you look at this orphanage, you would see a unique fingerprint of God all over it. This is what I am most thankful for, being part of this team. In our weakness, God chose to show His strength. In our lack, God chose to show His abundance. In our doubt, God chose to show His faithfulness. I get to work with some amazing people in our organization. Ordinary people who choose to serve and please God everyday.
My wife and I have been blessed by our Lord to become parents to our second child who will be born next year. We are so excited by this and humbled by the same time because of God’s amazing works in our lives. We cannot fathom how this God of wisdom chose us to be part of furthering His kingdom here on earth.
To God be the glory!

I thank the Lord for 2009 because it was a year of surprises, challenges and really becoming dependent on Him for wisdom, leading and provision. Along with the other Board of Directors I have never lead a construction team in my life, so overseeing this was quite overwhelming, but God knows what He is doing. He guided the team in making both minor decisions such as paint color, tiles and equipment purchases, as well as major decisions such as hiring the right workers, partnering with sub-contractors(roofing, windows) and how to deal with construction worker Elmer’s accident. It is so great to see God’s hand move throughout the year from providing financially even in the season of recession, to touching many people to support our fundraisers(Adopt a Square Foot, CAC Trunk Sale, Shoot for Hope), to individuals, businesses, churches, Bible study groups that caught the vision of Babyanne’s Mansion. I am filled with excitement as the year comes to a close and construction is nearing its completion, we can now house those children that need this the most. Our hope is in Christ and I am eager to share that to the little ones that we will care for. I am privileged to be a part of something that is greater than who I am and I can only thank the Lord for His faithfulness and goodness for all He’s done.

As I write my last little message of the year, to you, our dear prayer partners, my heart continues to be captivated by the glory our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. How does a girl like me – a depraved sinner, begin to speak about the goodness of God? Yet, the most wonderful thing is that sinners are precisely the people God chooses and uses to declare His sovereign grace and truth! Oh how I love the grace of God! This grace that rescued me from death and brought me life, the grace that taught me that my purpose is to give glory to God by delighting in Him always, the grace that has called me to be His vessel, His ambassador, His hands and feet here on earth! What marvelous truth!
Babyanne’s Mansion is yet another picture of the Sovereign Grace of the Great I AM. God has revealed His character to me in so many ways through the construction of Babyanne’s Mansion. He is our provider, our counsellor, our everlasting Father, prince of peace, our faithful friend, our rock and refuge, our all in all! He is all sufficient, always loving, generous and merciful, kind and strong! I cannot wait to learn more about the character of God as we open the doors of Babyanne’s Mansion for the orphaned and abandoned children of the Philippines.
Thank you for your support this year. Your prayers, encouragements and financial support are all part of the foundation that has built this home! May your hearts marvel at the grace and truth of Jesus as you look at the finished facility of Babyanne’s Mansion. All glory to Him alone!
