F.I.S.H.E.R.S. International Ministries was founded by six young women who had the desire to go back to their home country, the Philippines, and share the Good News of Jesus Christ to their family and friends. In May & June 2002, their dream came to reality when they went on their first mission trip to the Philippines. They gave their group the name F.I.S.H.E.R.S. in order for people to remember them easier. The name “F.I.S.H.E.R.S.” stands for Faith In Sharing His Eternal Radiant Salvation. This was their main purpose more than anything else - to share the saving grace of Jesus Christ to their generation.

During their two-month mission trip, the girls did the following: they ministered to two poor churches by sharing the gospel to them as well as handing out dried goods for each family that attended; they participated in a medical mission; held Bible studies for their friends each week; as well as held a three-day retreat for the Bible study group members during which they were given the opportunity to know God. Many came to know the Lord for the first time in their lives as a result of this undertaking and still many others were given the opportunity to renew their relationship with Jesus Christ during these events. Finally, they visited two orphanages where they facilitated activities for the kids in a Christ-focused manner.

When five of the founders returned from the mission trip, they started conducting weekly Bible studies for young adults to minister to their friends in Canada. The young adults Bible study group has been in existence since 2003 and grew from having only five to having twelve people who consistently attend each week.

In 2004, the dream of having an orphanage came to life when one of the founders, Margret “Babyanne” Ho, passed away.

F.I.S.H.E.R.S. International Ministries is a registered non-profit charitable organization as of April 11, 2006 under the Income Tax Act of Revenue Canada while Babyanne’s Mansion is a registered non-profit organization in the Philippines since March 26, 2006.

YOUNG ADULTS BIBLE STUDY GROUP

After coming back from the Mission Trip in 2002, the girls started a Bible study group in Canada for their friends. The group grew from having only five members to sixteen members that attend each week.

MISSION TRIP

F.I.S.H.E.R.S. Ministries’ desires to help the poor through going on mission trips. They had their very first successful one in 2002 and was followed by another trip to the Philippines in June of 2006.

ORPHANAGE – BABYANNE’S MANSION

F.I.S.H.E.R.S. Ministries felt the calling of God to build an orphanage in the Philippines where abandoned and neglected children ages 0-3 can come and have a safe, loving, stable and Christ-centered environment to live in. It is also their goal to have an adoption agency with it in order for the kids to experience the love and structure a family can bring. In honor of one of the late founders, Margret Anne Ho, they are naming the orphanage “Babyanne’s Mansion.”
